⾯试中常⻅的 product sense 考的是什么呢?他们考的是你有没有全局观念,你懂不懂⼈的⾏为,i.e. how do people interact with a product, 以及你能否⽤⼀套系统的思维体系来解决问题,而不是表面地分析数据,或者盲目地建模,因为盲目建模的商业价值为零。

 

数据的产生基于人的行为,所以 product analytics 其实是分析⼈以及他们的决定, by that I mean how they use a product, what makes them want to adopt a product, etc. 

 

Thus, data science is an act of interpretation — we translate the customer’s ‘voice’ into a language more suitable for decision-making.
